Way of the Cross: XIII. Jesus is taken down from the Cross, and given to his Mother

Prayer:

We adore You, O Christ, and we bless You.
Because by Your Holy Cross, You have redeemed the world.

“Hail holy queen, mother of mercy, Hail our life, our sweetness and our hope. To you do we cry poor banished children of Eve, To you do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate your eyes of mercy toward us. And after this, our exile, show us the fruit of your womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.”

Implore for us the grace of faith, hope and charity, so that we, like you, may stand without flinching beneath the Cross until our last breath. To your Son, Jesus, our Savior, with the Father and the Holy Spirit, all honor and glory forever and ever. Amen
